PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable drum unit in which time and effort for setting a drum to a support tool become unnecessary, and a fear of overturn is hard to occur during a laying work.SOLUTION: A cable drum unit comprises: two polygonal drum fixing stands 3a, 3b which have a bearing part 9 in an opening 7 provided at a center part, and are separately arranged by making inner faces face each other; and a cable drum 21 which is freely rotatably and pivotally supported by the bearing part by being arranged between the drum fixing stands, engaged and arranged in the respective openings, in which the cable drum has: a plurality of cylindrically arranged rod-like bodies 23; large-diameter flanges 25a, 25b which are fixed to both ends in axial directions, or the vicinity of both ends of the respective rod-like bodies, respectively; and borne annular bodies 27a, 27b which are annularly fixed to outer peripheral surfaces of the respective rod-like bodies, respectively, and contact the respective bearing parts, and the respective flanges are located outside or inside, or both sides in the axial direction of the respective drum fixing stands in a state of supporting the respective borne annular bodies by the respective bearing parts of the drum fixing stands.
