PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power interruption device capable of detecting the off failure of a second power supply relay during the operation of a load circuit.SOLUTION: A power interruption device 40 includes: a first power supply relay 21 and a second power supply relay 22 having mutually opposite diodes; a first relay driving part 23 and a second relay driving part 24 for switching the on/off of the first and second power supply relays 21 and 22; an intermediate voltage detection part 30 for detecting an intermediate voltage V1 between the first power supply relay 21 and the second power supply relay 22; and failure detection means 42 for executing failure detection processing of commanding the first relay driving means 23 to switch the first power supply relay 21 to a temporary off-state during the operation of an invertor part 50, and detecting the off failure of the second power supply relay 22 on the basis of the change of the intermediate voltage V1 during the off-state of the first power supply relay 21. |
