STAY MEMBER FOR UNDERRUN PROTECTOR, AND CONNECTION STRUCTURE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight stay member capable of easily achieving high strength and capable of being inexpensively manufactured, and an underrun protector structure using the same.SOLUTION: A stay member for an underrun protector connects a vehicle frame of a truck and a beam member thereof. The stay member is manufactured from an aluminum-extruded material. The stay member is formed in a hollow cross-sectional shape in which a vehicle-side connection part for being connected to the side of the vehicle frame and a beam-side connection part for being connected to the side of the beam member are connected together by a supporting rib.
