PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating agent for gravure printing having gravure printability, excellent gas barrier property under high-humidity atmosphere, and a gas barrier film having a film with gas barrier property, made of the aqueous coating agent having adhesion strength or film aggregation strength sufficient as a packaging material for a long period of time, with less deterioration of lamination strength.SOLUTION: An aqueous coating agent for gravure printing includes: an aqueous polyurethane resin (A); a water-soluble polymer (B); and an inorganic laminar mineral (C) as major constituents. In the total solid, the solid content compounding ratios of the aqueous polyurethane resin (A), the water-soluble polymer (B) and the inorganic laminar mineral (C) are within ranges described below. In the aqueous coating agent for gravure printing, total solid concentration is 5 mass% or more, and viscosity at 23°C is 50 mPa.s or less. The water-soluble polymer (B) is a polyvinyl alcohol resin having the saponification degree of 95% or more and the polymerization degree of 300-1700. The component (A) is 5-60 mass%; the component (B) of 25-80 mass%; and the component (C) of 8-20 mass%. |
