PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a shield case capable of opening and closing a cover member easily so that a body case and a cover member can be reliably made conductive.SOLUTION: A shield case 30 comprises a case body 40 formed with an opening 53 for a substrate operation, and a cover member 70 for opening and closing the opening 53. The cover member 70 has a lower end rotatably supported by the case body 40 and an upper end fastened by screws to the case body 40. The case body 40 and the cover member 70 are respectively formed with a cover piece 64 and projection pieces 71 for engaging at the closing time of the opening 53. At the closing time of the opening 53, the cover piece 64 is clamped by the projection pieces 71 so that the cover piece 64 and the projection pieces 71 contact. When the screws are turned in a fastening direction, the contact force between the cover piece 64 and the projection pieces 71 increases, and the case body 40 and the cover member 70 reliably conduct so that electromagnetic waves can be prevented from leaking from the case body 40. Moreover, the portions to be fastened with the screws can be reduced. |
