PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device with improved usability, while ensuring security, and an authentication program.SOLUTION: An authentication device stores authentication information formed by associating an authentication identifier including a plurality of preset identifiers with relative input position patterns of the identifiers, as an authentication information database, acquires information on the identifiers input by a user and input positions thereof as input information, and gives authentication when the identifiers included in the input information coincide with the identifiers in the authentication information and the relative input position patterns of the identifiers included in the input information coincide with the relative input position patterns of the identifiers in the authentication information.
