PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-belt capable of enhancing the transmission efficiency of a drive power better than the prior art.SOLUTION: A V-belt 23 is so wound on a drive pulley and a driven pulley as to be clamped between a first sheave 21A and a second sheave 21B. The V-belt 23 comprises: an intermediate rubber layer 43 having a plurality of core wires 46 buried therein; an upper rubber layer 44 disposed above the intermediate rubber layer 43; and a lower rubber layer 42 disposed below the intermediate rubber layer 43. The length of the core wire 46 exposed from a first left side face 51L and the length of the core wire 46 exposed from a first right side face 51R are individually one half or less than the length of the core wire 46.
