<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect temperature of a liquid ejection head, with high accuracy by using simple configuration.SOLUTION: There is provided a temperature detection method for a liquid ejection head which is a method for detecting temperature of a liquid ejection head that includes a pressure chamber communicating with an ejection port for ejecting liquid and accumulating the liquid to be ejected from the ejection port, and that ejects the liquid accumulated in the pressure chamber from the ejection port by drive of a piezoelectric element. A resonance frequency or an anti-resonance frequency is measured of a piezoelectric vibrator that is a part of a piezoelectric member constituting the piezoelectric element and can vibrate independently of the piezoelectric element and is arranged in a place where a gap is formed around the piezoelectric vibrator, and the temperature of the liquid ejection head is detected on the basis of the measured frequency.</p> |
