Provided are: a solar cell sealing film, which is capable of improving the power generation efficiency of a solar cell element by containing a wavelength conversion material, and which is also capable of maintaining the power generation efficiency improving effect even in cases where a solar cell is used outdoors and exposed to ultraviolet light or high temperatures for a long period of time; and a solar cell. A solar cell sealing film, which contains a wavelength conversion material and a resin material containing an olefin (co)polymer, and which is characterized in that the wavelength conversion material is a rare earth complex polymer that contains a plurality of trivalent rare earth ions and a plurality of phosphine oxide multidentate ligands that form a crosslinked structure through coordination with the trivalent rare earth ions; and a solar cell which is obtained by sealing a solar cell element with use of this solar cell sealing film. |
