Provided are an emulation device, an emulation method, a program, and an information storage medium, with which operations with respect to a detection surface can be emulated with a good operational feel. An input data acquisition unit (66) acquires input data correlated with the direction in which an operation stick has been operated. A determination unit (70) determines the relationship between multiple positions in a detection surface and arranged along a direction in accordance with the input data.
