摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for optimally and efficiently controlling a battery of a power supply device and a power supply system therefor. The power supply device includes a rectifier to supply power to a load by external power inserted thereto, and a battery which is connected to the rectifier in parallel and which shares the power supply to the load. The method for controlling a battery in a power supply system includes: a mode determining step of determining whether to share the power supply to a load by a battery based on a power usage pattern of the load; a discharge condition setting step of determining a discharge time range and a discharge voltage of the battery by matching the required discharge quantity and the discharge time based on the power usage pattern in a discharge characteristic curve according to the prestored discharge characteristic data for the battery; and a uniform discharge performing step of uniformly controlling a voltage of a rectifier and a voltage of the battery to follow the discharge voltage by adjusting the voltage of the rectifier and sharing the power supply to the load by the discharge of the battery. According to the present invention, in order for the battery to share the power supply to a building, the charge quantity retained in the battery is controlled and discharged to follow intrinsic characteristics of the battery, thereby using the charge quantity of the battery in an optimally efficient way.</p>
