摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent deterioration in exhaust gas performance in the whole operation region of an engine regarding a control device for an internal combustion engine which has a turbocharger with an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: A control device 1 for an internal combustion engine 2 has an exhaust gas aftertreatment device 40 having catalysts 41, 42, and 43 for purifying exhaust gas. The control device includes: a turbocharger 20 having a turbine 22 and a compressor 21; an electric motor 24 for rotating the turbine 22 and the compressor 21; an intake-air temperature detecting means 50 for detecting the temperature of intake air; an exhaust-gas temperature calculating means 60 for calculating the temperature of exhaust gas, exhausted from the internal combustion engine 2, on the basis of the detection by the intake-air temperature detecting means 50; and a drive control means 60 for driving the electric motor 24 when the calculated value of the exhaust-gas temperature calculating means 60 is lower than a lower-limit threshold, at which the temperature of the catalysts is cooled lower than the activating temperature, on the basis of the calculated value of the exhaust-gas temperature calculating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
