<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach an obstacle detection part and its protective sheet in a post installation manner at a low cost and in a short time to an opening/closing device of a sheet shutter or the like not provided with the obstacle detection part. <P>SOLUTION: Seat plate means is constituted of roughly projected seat plate means 43, obstacle detection means 64 is provided on a flat part on the closing direction side of the seat plate means, and both ends of protective sheet means 65 are fixed by a fastening member to a roughly projected narrow width part of the seat plate means so as to entirely cover the roughly projected wide width part of the seat plate means and the obstacle detection means. By fixing the protective sheet to the roughly projected narrow width part of the seat plate means by a fastening part, the fastening part is present on the inner side of the roughly projected wide width part of the seat plate means, the risk that the fastening part is brought into contact with some kind of obstacle or the like during an opening/closing operation of opening/closing body means is prevented as much as possible.
