Disclosed is an electromagnetic coil for actuating a fluid injector, the coil comprising a first electrical terminal (105), a second electrical terminal (110) and a coiled conductor (115) that is electrically connected between the first (115) and second (110) terminals. The conductor comprises at least two sections (120), each section coiling around a longitudinal axis (125), wherein the sections (120) are electrically connected in parallel.
