In the pressing method (40) a workpiece (13) is bended by the press (10) comprising an upper die (11) and a lower die (12). According to the present invention before bending the workpiece (13) the workpiece (13) is fixed by at least one bulge (16) of the upper die (11) while moving the upper die (11) in a pressing direction (41).
