<p>An image forming apparatus includes: a first metal side plate frame; a second metal side plate frame arranged to face the first metal side plate frame; a sheet-metal stay electrically connecting the first metal side plate frame and the second metal side plate frame; a base portion provided at the sheet-metal stay and extending horizontally; and an abutting portion rising from the base portion and abutting each of the outer surface of the first metal side plate frame and the outer surface of the second metal side plate frame, and any one of the first metal side plate frame and the second metal side plate frame is directly grounded.
