<p>A sighting device 2, espeÂcially a night vision device for use with sighting scope 1 mounted on a firearm, is provided with at least one adjustment element 4, such as a focus control knob, situated on the housing 5 of the sighting device 2. The control knob 4 is mounted on a lengthwise adjustable spindle 6, which is supported by bearings in the housing 5. The spindle 6 may be pulled at least partly from the housing 5 in the direction of scope 1, towards the shooter. The spindle 6 may be rotated by means of the knob 4 about an axis of rotation 7 in order to focus the sighting device 2. The spindle 6 may be telescopic. The extendable spindle 6 allows the distance between the important focus control and the shooter to be minimised, improving its accessibility.</p> |
