<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head mounted display to be used by a user naturally as if the user operates an ordinary mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal system includes a mobile terminal equipped with a display apparatus that displays an image according to display information, and a head mounted display that displays a virtual screen in a display region in a field of view of a user on the basis of the display information acquired from the mobile terminal. The head mounted display includes an imaging section, and a terminal posture acquiring section that generates position information showing the relative position of the mobile terminal with respect to the head mounted display on the basis of the display on the display apparatus captured by the imaging section. The display region is positioned to overlap the display screen of the display apparatus on the basis of the position information.
