Disclosed are: an electrolyte solution for an electricity storage device, which enables stable operation of the electricity storage device even in a high voltage range; and an electricity storage device. Specifically disclosed is an electrolyte solution which contains an ionic compound represented by general formula (1): Kt+[B(CN)4]- (wherein Kt+ represents an onium cation and/or an inorganic cation) and an aprotic organic solvent. The electrolyte solution has a withstand voltage of 0 V or more but less than 6.9 V or a withstand voltage of 6.9-13.8 V (inclusive) as measured by LSV. Also specifically disclosed is an electricity storage device which comprises the electrolyte solution. |
