The locking unit has a locking element (7) driven by a longitudinally displaceable connecting rod (5). A counter bearing (8) is provided opposite to the locking element operated in a prominent position. The locking element is attached to a frame (1) or a wing (2). The locking element or the counter bearing has a flat-formed supporting area (12) that is arranged on a supporting element (15) detachably connected with a base element (14) in a form-fit manner. The supporting element is made of spring steel.
