The present invention relates to an airbag and a manufacturing method thereof. The airbag comprises: an expandable part capable of being expanded by gas; an non-expandable part supporting the expandable part; a joint part forming an interface between the expandable part and the non-expandable part; and an ultrasonic welding part positioned between the joint part and the terminal of an inflator jetting the gas at a high pressure in case of the collision of a vehicle. The airbag is capable of preventing an airbag cushion from being ruptured by the high-temperature and high-pressure gas jetted from the inflator in case of the collision of a vehicle, and is capable of providing high internal pressure retention performance and high inflation performance.
