The present invention relates to a user authentication system used in an electronic financial transaction for preventing financial fraud. The user authentication system comprises: a storage unit in which security card information storing a plurality of identification numbers and a password matching each of the identification numbers is stored while matching user′s information; an information provision unit which provides information with respect to a password writing form of a security card given to the user to a user terminal upon authentication request; and a password authentication unit which compares password information of the security card, which is inputted by the user, with the security card information stored in the storage unit with reference to the security number writing form displayed through the user terminal and authenticates the security number information of the security card. The password writing form of the security card is one among a plurality of password writing forms, and the password authentication unit performs the authentication of the password in consideration of the password writing form of the security card. |
