The present invention relates to a system for detecting an error of a transceiving synchronization module and a method thereof. Provided is the system for detecting an error occurring in an inner synchronization signal by using a counter when generating the inner synchronization signal from an external synchronization signal. The system of the present invention starts the counter when a first inner synchronization signal is generated, periodically detects a change of the inner synchronization signal, identifies a counter value when the change of the inner synchronization signal is detected such that whether an error exists in the generated inner synchronization signal. The system of the present invention can be employed to various systems generating the inner synchronization signal by using the external synchronization signal, and can improve the stability of the system by allowing the error to be detected in the process of generating the inner synchronization signal.
