<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for managing provision of location information and a computer-readable recording medium having a computer program recorded therein. More specifically, the apparatus for managing provision of location information checks measurement requirements for location information requested by a location-based service providing unit executed in user equipment and provides the location information among previously stored location information to the location-based service providing unit that requested the location information without conducting a location measurement if there exists the location information satisfying the measurement requirements among the previously stored location information, thereby effectively managing the provision of location information in response to location information requests. In addition, if the frequency of location information requests is higher than a preset reference or measurement accuracy or a measurement environment among the measurement requirements for location information corresponds to previously stored location information, the apparatus provides the location information satisfying the requirements without conducting the location measurement so that redundant measurement of location information to meet the frequent requests for location information can be prevented, thereby effectively controlling the resources of the user equipment used for the location measurement.</p> |
