An electric dry shaver comprises a cutter head assembly 18 releasably mounted in a casing 11, 12 by means of a pair of levers 48, 49 each having a latch hook 54 urged by a resilient means 57 into latching engagement with the cutter head assembly. The cutter head assembly is provided with a mounting plate 33 on which stationary cutters 32, 34 are secured by clamps 38, the plate being formed with lugs 62 for engagement with the latch hooks 54. The levers are urged to the latched position shown in Fig. 2 by resilient fingers 57 formed on a plate 21 arranged to hold together the two portions 11, 12 of the casing. A sealing member 42 of foam material is clamped between the plates 33 and 21 in order to prevent hair entering a motor compartment 24. |
