1,222,347. Wall formwork. C. I. WILLIAMS. 27 May, 1969 [27 May, 1968], No. 26810/69. Heading E1S. Apparatus for fixing the lower parts of wall formwork in position using the previously cast section for support includes, at each fixing point, an inner rod 38 fastened to an embedded tie rod 37, an outer rod 41 coupled to the inner rod via an inner bracket 64, and an outer bracket 75 through which the rod 41 can be pulled and to which it can be fixed, the outer bracket being attached to the outside of walers 33, 34 supporting the formwork panels 31. Upper formwork parts are connected by the rods, and inner rods 38 fixed in receptacles 39 (not shown) which are located in holes in the panels 31. The formwork sits on the rods 38 via lower brackets 52 arranged on the formwork to be laterally pivotable. The rod 41 is moved relative to bracket 75 by cam plates 88, 89, and a pin 93 then fixes the rod in position, whereafter the bracket 75 is moved out by a bolt 97 which acts against the waler 34, the bracket 75 pivoting at 83. The rod 41 has reduced portions to facilitate the retention of the rod in different axial positions in the bracket 75. |
