A valve comprises a partition 4, between the inflow and outflow sides, which is formed with an annular wall 13 extending in the longitudinal direction of the housing with flow passages therethrough and which is surrounded by a sleeve-like diaphragm 8, secured at both ends in the housing and forming a chamber in which pressure fluid may be admitted to close the diaphragm on to the annular wall, and is characterized in that the wall 13, at least on one side of the partition is partly constituted by bars extending in the longitudinal direction of the housing and into a ring 10 of elastic material, e.g. rubber, located at the circumference of the partition, the bars being supported at the other end in an adjacent end wall of the housing, e.g. in a ring 14. The partition 4 is hollow and in two halves, each half being united with an end piece of the housing by a web 5, and the ring 10 is clamped between the halves. Some of the bars of the partition may be formed integrally with the partition. The bars may be made from a chemically resistant synthetic material.</p> |
