The present invention relates to an active matrix type organic light emitting display device, and more particularly, to a an image quality compensation apparatus and method of an organic light emitting display device, capable of compensating degradation with according to the elapse of driving time. According to the present invention, the image quality compensation apparatus of the organic light emitting display device comprises a memory and a timing controller. The memory includes a first update block and a second update block so as to selectively store a first period compensation value and a second period compensation value sequentially updated at regular periods. The timing controller sets the first update block as any one of a current memory page for loading data and a next memory page for writing data, and the second update block as the other one of the current memory page and the next memory page, based on a preset check code, calculates the second period compensation value corresponding to the elapse of the driving time, based on the first period compensation value loaded from the update block set as the current memory page, writes the second period compensation value in the update block set as the next memory page, and updates the memory by deleting the first period compensation value of the update block set as the current memory page. |
