An aspect of the disclosed invention provides a medical imaging device which enables a user to intuitively identify storage capacity and select data volume to be deleted by providing, when deleting stored medical images, data related to the deletion of the medical image; and a medical image management method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the medical imaging device includes: a storage unit in which recorded medical images are stored; a control unit which calculates a remaining capacity out of the storage capacity of the storage unit and determines whether the remaining capacity is lower than a predefined threshold value; and a display unit which, if the remaining capacity is lower than the predefined threshold value, displays an automatic deletion pop-up window to receive the setting of a deletion reference date of the stored medical images.
