<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility at a display part by increasing a quantity of light transmitted to the upper part of a top plate. <P>SOLUTION: A heating cooker includes a top plate 34 which is provided on the upper surface of a case 30 and formed of such material as allows light to transmit with a heated body 32 placed thereon, a heating part 36 which is provided below the top plate 34 to heat the heated body 32, and a display part 42 which is provided below the top plate 34 and includes a light source 38 and a light shielding part 40 having an opening at the upper end and enclosing the light source 38. The top plate 34 includes, on the lower surface, a light shielding layer 44 which reduces transmission rate of visible light. The light shielding layer 44 has a cut-out part 46 where a character, a sign, a pictograph, or a geometric configuration are cut out. The upper end of the display part 42 abuts with the top plate 34 at the periphery of the cut-out part 46, and a diffusion layer 48 is formed on the lower surface of the cut-out part 46. By this configuration, the vlume of light that transmits to the upper part of the top plate is increased for improved visibility from a user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
