摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retard deterioration of a high energy density battery in an electric car having a high output density battery and a high energy density battery, even in a situation where the opportunity to use the high energy density battery for running is low. <P>SOLUTION: An electric car 100 includes a first battery 12 (high output density battery) which can be charged from an external power supply and a second battery 22 (high energy density battery), and a controller 8 which controls charging of the battery. The controller 8 performs the following three steps. A power transfer step for charging the first battery 12 by using the second battery 22, prior to charging by using an external power supply. A first battery charging step for charging the first battery 12 by using an external power supply. A second battery charging step for charging the second battery 22 by using the external power supply.
