摘要 A step is formed in a pixel to improve light extraction efficiency so as to effectively use the light emitted in an organic EL device. Light extraction efficiency can be improved without increasing a current by using guided waves effectively, wherein guided waves are a loss factor of the light emitted in an organic EL device. In order to achieve this, a step part is formed in an insulating layer formed at a lower layer than a first electrode having a light reflection surface, and the peripheral area of the first electrode is formed to overlying the step part. A reflection surface which is curved from the peripheral area of the first electrode to a second electrode by the step part, and the light which is guided by the organic EL layer is reflected the reflection surface and is emitted in the second electrode area.
