<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for a handover of a call from a packet switched domain to a circuit switched domain. The method for the handover of a call comprises the steps of: receiving a session transfer start message for the handover of the call from a packet switched domain to a circuit switched domain; performing a session transfer procedure according to the session transfer start message; verifying whether the handover is completed from the circuit switched domain; and releasing an access leg to the packet switched domain if it is verified that the handover is completed. Accordingly, the session of an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) is maintained even if a single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) handover is not normally performed due to a weak electromagnetic field and the like, thereby providing the continuity of a call service seamlessly through a packet network.</p> |
