A method of preparing a frozen food product, preferably a frozen poultry or fish product, comprising the steps of:
a) providing a food portion to be frozen;
b) applying to or coating the bottom or underside of said food portion with an edible hygroscopic material;
c) freezing the food product; and
d) applying water to the bottom or underside of said frozen food product. |
