A method to decimate the number of samples (S) that are necessary to identify a characteristic curve of a power supply module. Said module is adapted to operate in a field of a first characteristic parameter of said module and a field of a second characteristic parameter of said module. The method comprises the following steps:
€¢ dividing the field of a first parameter and the field of a second parameter into a plurality of intervals;
€¢ determining, for each second interval (”V) of said second parameter, a first number (N1) of first intervals (”I) of said first parameter covered by the samples (S) comprised in the single second interval (”V);
€¢ determining, for each first interval (”I) of said second parameter, a second number (N2) of second intervals (”V) of said second parameter covered by the samples (S) comprised in the single first interval (”I);
€¢ for each single sample (S), comparing the corresponding first number (N1) and the corresponding second number (N2);
€¢ identifying one or more samples (S), for which the comparison between the corresponding first number (N1) and the corresponding second number (N2) has a variation;
€¢ for each sample identified in the previous step, starting from that sample, determining a first sample interval (”K) wherein at least one fundamental point of the characteristic curve lies;
€¢ storing in a memory medium only the samples (S) comprised in each first value interval (”K) determined in the previous step.
|
