The present invention relates to a light source driving apparatus, a display apparatus, and a driving method thereof. The light source driving apparatus comprising a tapped-inductor boost converter circuit comprises: a switching unit which turns on/off the tapped-inductor boost converter circuit according to a preset period; a tapped inductor which transfers a primary-side current as a secondary-side current according to the turn-on of the switching unit; a clamping capacitor and a clamping diode which clamp a voltage of the switching unit; a resonant capacitor which is charged and discharged according to the switching period of the switching unit to perform resonance; and a snubber which includes first and second resonant diodes which charge and discharge the resonant capacitor. Thus, the voltage of the switching unit is clamped to restrain an increase of voltage stress during the resonance, thereby minimizing an increase material cost due to the construction of the snubber. |
