<p>The present invention relates to an electronic payment system and method which perform primary electronic payment within a micropayment limit amount of money, which is allotted to a corresponding mobile terminal, in an electronic transaction through a communication network by using the mobile terminal and perform secondary electronic payment substitute for the primary electronic payment when a user selects a payment method, which can be certified by a financial institution, with a predetermined period. When the system and the method of the present invention are adopted, the user can perform mobile payment by a very simple way and can replace the payment method with a desired payment method when necessary. The electronic payment system comprises: a user mobile terminal which provides access to a content server through a communication network to request electronic payment with respect to purchase of a content provided from a contact provision server; a payment relay server which executes electronic payment treatment with respect to the purchase of the content which is requested from the mobile terminal; and a communication provider server which stores information of the mobile terminal.</p> |
