Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a screen control method for a mobile device and a device thereof. According to the various embodiments of the present invention, a method to control the screen of a mobile device includes: a step of detecting an object through an image sensor; a step of setting a reference area based on the position of the detected object; a step of detecting the movement of the object based on the reference area; and a step of moving and displaying the screen following the movement of the object. The various embodiments of the present invention are able to move the screen as the object detected by the image sensor moves. By doing so, a user can operate mobile devices of various sizes with one hand.
