The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing a call service using a ring back mode, which can easily deliver the purpose of a call of a caller to a call receiver while connection of the call is attempted and provide a user environment allowing a user to integrally manage the purposes and content of calls, and to a terminal device for the same. The terminal device is configured to: output a user interface screen for call originating, which includes a call request button and a message writing button; display a keypad area for message typing and a message display area where a written message is displayed if the message writing button is selected; and transmit a call connection request including the message displayed in the message display area to a designated counterpart terminal device if the call request button is selected.
