The present invention relates to a method for providing a call service using a ring back mode, which can easily convey the purpose of a call of a caller to a call receiver when the call is attempted to be connected and provides a user interface allowing integrated management of call purposes and content by each call, and to a device for the same. The terminal device is configured to: output a user interface screen including a call request button and a message writing button; display a keypad region for message writing and a message display region for displaying a written message if the message writing button is selected; and if the call request button is selected after that, transmit a call connection request including the message displayed in the message display region to a designated counterpart terminal device.
