<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device having a steering mechanism such as a rack and pinion function to be reduced in weight. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle steering device includes a housing 51 storing a steering mechanism for steering a steering wheel and having an opening 51k, a cap part 54 fixed to the housing 51 on the opening 51k side, an elastic member 51o disposed between the housing 51 and the cap part 54, and fixing members 54b and 54b for fixing the housing 51 and the cap part 54 in a state where the elastic member 51o is compressed to bond the housing 51 and the cap part 54. In the installed state of the steering function, a slope K inclined to a horizontal surface is formed on the upper side of the cap part 54. The cap part 54 has ribs 54r1 and 54r2 on the roughly whole circumference of the outer circumference of the cap part 54, and at least a part of the lower rib 54r2 which is a part corresponding to the lower half of the slope K of the ribs 54r1 and 54r2 faces the lower side of the cap body 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
