[Also in Division B8] Containers (see Division B8) may be formed from blanks, e.g. as shown in Fig. 2, by sucking a blank 1 into a mould 7, clamping a sheet 16, e.g. of thermoplastic material, at 14 and deepdrawing it on to the blank, to which it is secured by means of heating elements 13. A thermoplastic binder may be placed on the blank 1 or sheet 16. The sheet may be sucked into the mould at the same time as the blank. Compressed air may be used to drive the blank and/or sheet into the mould. |
