PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article having a soft touch and a wearable property.SOLUTION: The disposable absorbent article is configured in such a manner that a rising elastic member 38 extending in a longitudinal direction is mounted in an elongated state in the vicinity of the free end portion of a side sheet 32, a portion of the side sheet 32 raised upward by the shrinkage of the rising elastic member 38 is made into a rising portion 321, and the rising width P of the rising portion 321 is made uniform in the longitudinal direction at least near both ends of the side seat 32 in the longitudinal direction and near the intermediate portion of the side seat 32 positioned in the middle of the longitudinal direction. As a result, since the rising width P of the rising portion 321 is uniform in the longitudinal direction, the rising portion 321 is warped generally in a bow shape as viewed from one side a the width direction. Thus, the disposable absorbent article can be fitted mainly to the hip joint portion of a wearer and can retain a comfortable wearability without giving the feeling of a foreign substance or a discomfort to the wearer. |
