PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the memory size for storing images appropriately while processing an image with efficiency in pipeline processing.SOLUTION: An image processing device sequentially performing processes of a first image processing unit and a second image processing unit, has: a first compression unit compressing an image outputted from the first image processing unit; a second compression unit compressing an image outputted from the second image processing unit; and a controller, using a data size of a current image compressed by the first compression unit and a ratio of data sizes of past images compressed by the first and second compression units respectively, to estimate the data size of the current image after compression by the second compression unit and control the compression of the current image by the second compression unit based on the estimated data size. |
