<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing coated paper that is excellent in ink-drying properties and does not generate unevenness of ink impression at printing, and further, does not show a printing quality variation in a width direction. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing coated paper for printing having a pigment coated layer. Base paper constituting the coated paper is obtained by papermaking using a gap former type paper machine. At least one pigment coated layer constituting the coated paper contains 1 pts.mass or more of starch with respect to 100 pts.mass of total pigments, and is provided by being applied on a substrate traveling at 1000 m/min or higher and then is dried in a drying step. At least a part of the drying step is performed in a compound type dryer unit in which an infrared drying system and a hot air drying system are combined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
