1,226,904. Measuring high pressure electrically. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. April 25, 1969 [May 17, 1968], No.21259/69. Heading G1N. [Also in Division H1] The temperature and pressure in a reaction vessel are determined by utilizing a platinum/ platinum 10 rhodium thermocouple and an iron/ platinum 10 rhodium thermocouple simultaneously, the output signal from the first couple being indicative of the temperature and the difference between the two output signals being indicative of the pressure. The platinum rhodium wire may be common to the two couples, and the outputs fed to an X-Y recorder. The apparatus may be used in the manufacture of diamonds. |
