<p>The present invention relates to a rendering method for generating a stereoscopic image. A method for generating a stereoscopic image by producing a stereoscopic sprite according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a stereoscopic sprite to which a sense of volume is given using distance information for each pixel of the sprite based on an outline of the sprite that is a unit image forming an image; and calculating the parallax between right and left images to form a stereoscopic image from the stereoscopic sprite, and arranging the stereoscopic sprite to the right and left images. According to the present invention, users can conveniently enjoy a realistic 3D game by using the method for automatically rendering a 2D game into a 3D game and automatically generating a sprite having a sense of volume, and a configuration based on 3D scene production rules.
