According to an embodiment of the present invention, a clearance compensator of a steering gear for vehicles comprises: a rack bearing installed on one side of a rack bar inside a housing to support the rack bar; an elastic member installed on the rear side of the rack bearing to elastically support the rack bearing; a clearance compensating part installed on the rear side of the elastic member to support the elastic member by rotating and pressurizing the elastic member towards the rack bar; a driving part installed on the rear side of the clearance compensating part to be joined to the clearance compensating part in order to transmit rotational power to the clearance compensating part; and an adjustor plug installed on the rear side of the driving part to support the driving part. According to the present invention, the clearance compensator of a steering gear for vehicles accurately compensates for a clearance between the rack bar and the rack bearing and improves the performance of the product by grasping the driving information of a vehicle, determining a clearance between the rack bearing and the adjustor plug in accordance with the information, and compensating for the clearance by driving a servo-motor, thereby reducing frictional noise between the components.
