The present invention provides a method for forming a hydrophobic coating layer on a micropatterned hydrophilic substrate and a micropatterned hydrophilic substrate including the same formed thereby. The present invention includes the steps of: transferring a siloxane compound by irradiating light on the micropatterned hydrophilic substrate after the micropatterned hydrophilic substrate is in contact with the siloxane compound; and separating the substrate including the siloxane compound from the micropatterned hydrophilic substrate on which the siloxane compound is transferred.
