<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repairing device and a repairing method for a gasket seat surface capable of easily repairing a seat surface irrespective of the degree of work skill. <P>SOLUTION: A bearing part 1 is detachably fixed to an opening including a repair objective gasket seat surface 111. A rotary shaft 3 is supported by the bearing part 1 in a coaxial state with a center axis of the gasket seat surface 111. An arm member 4 is detachably connected to the rotary shaft 3 in a state opposing the gasket seat surface 111. A polishing member such as a surface plate 51 abutting on the gasket seat surface 111 is supported in the arm member 4.
